From One Addiction to Another

The former PJ Carrolls Tobacco factory at Church Street is one of Dundalk's finest shopfronts.
It was established as a shop in 1824 by Patrick Joseph Carroll and later tobacco and cigars were made there up until 1970.
This elegant building is now a shoe shop which, for some, is probably as addictive as smoking!

An interesting history. So nice that they didn't just tear it down in 1970.

Great point of view on this historic building. Interesting that they left the old sign. And I agree that you can never have enough shoes. V.

Just as addictive and nearly as expensive in some cases

Good to see that the old shop sign has been retained for posterity.
The security may be a hint at how adictive shoes can be :0)
