Toys For Girls

I'm on holidays this week so it was nice to have time to catch up with my cousin who is home from Boston.
We went to the coffee shop at Strandfield Flower Market to talk about cameras.
She has just brought her first DSLR and hopefully will become a Pbaser in the not too distant future.
But somehow we ended up talking about everything and anything, not just cameras.
These unusual dressing up dolls caught my eye - how I would have loved them when I was younger and not playing with cameras!

Yes me too, I loved playing with them. Lovely to see them still around.

I had some cutout dolls with interchangeable outfits and loved it. Big girls toys are more expensive.

a cheerful trio, doubtless fun for a young girl...those do seem older style dresses..

Interesting how you tie together cameras, coffee shops, flower markets and dolls all under the same title. And your image summarizes the topic so nicely.

Cool shot, remember the girls playing with the paper variety, very popular then. V

Like Karen I had those cutouts...one I remember was Rosemary Clooney...now I wish it had been her nephew George :)
Look forward to welcoming your cousin to the Pbase community!!

I remember a similar toy when I was young where you could put different outfits on a cut out doll. You could still get this and not tell anyone. :) Looks like a fun toy and a great capture of it.
