In the Park

It was a classic April day with sunshine and showers so, as I finished work early, I took advantage of a gap between the showers to have a walk in St Helena's Park before collecting my son from school.
It's a pretty well-maintained park with a well-used children's playground. Unfortunately the metal slides were stolen earlier this year as there's a high demand for scrap metal.

Superb framing Mairead! How frustrating to think that someone stole the slides from the park! :(

I like the framing in the foreground. Unbelievable about the slides. Stealing from kids. But this is a lovely photo. V.

Very nicely framed. Shame about the theft. Similar occurrence on this side of the Irish Sea too unfortunately. V.

Sad commentary on today's crime wave of stealing metal parts for money. Taking toys from little children is pathetic. I just love your colorful photo and the wavy purple framing in the foreground.

A fine composition - i like the framing . It's a shame you never see bandstands used.

Unusual and interestingly striking in-photo framing, which also provides a great colour contrast.

It makes for an attention-grabbing image :o) Shame about the metal-grabbing gits!
Brian Samuel17-Apr-2012 19:19
There nice curves. I'm guessing it is a kids plaything, or maybe the back of a very ornate bench.
Its disgraceful that someone would steel the kids slide for scrap!
