La Conquette

Windy and rainy again today. Not a day for photography so opted for a shopping trip instead. Nothing exciting, cat litter and dog food and some groceries for ourselves. La Conquette sounds much prettier than she was - a strange old boat moored on Newry Canal beside a shopping centre.

When the subject isn't pretty, give it a pretty name. Probably works for cooking as well.
So does cutting an image down like this, I expect; the wood and tarp have a nautical enough feel to tell you what the subject is without needing to see her in all of her questionable glory.

What a funny word, between grave and funny! V

Wonderful colors. The old wood and the strange paint job give this a very comfortable feeling.

Great framing and color. Love the worn wood. She looks like she's been well used.
