The warmth of true friendship

Met a dear friend for coffee in the flowermarket. We've been friends since we were pony mad teenagers and although I've probably only seen her a handful of times in the last 20 years as she lives in New Zealand, the years and miles made no difference. We chatted about our families, work, the recession which has hit Ireland much harder than New Zealand or so it seems, and then, our other big love, books. We are drawn to the same authors and sometimes discover that we're reading the same book at the same time.

A truly lovely scene and the geranium in the old pot is wonderful. I have been enjoying your visits to the flower market, too. V

I like the composition, the easy going look of the cosy room and the harmony of hues in the couch and the flowers. A very enjoyable photo

Lovely, lovely shot with the warm tones. It's so fitting to accompany your story of a warm and loving friendship.

Nice use of the warm tones (but not TOO warm; the green leaves and table prevent it from being overdone) to reflect the story that goes with today's snapshot.

Lovely shot. It's funny how real friends don't need to live in each others pockets to stay close.
