The hawthorn blossoms turn the hedgerows white in May, so from a
distance they almost appear to be covered in snow. When I was a student in Dublin I loved to come home and smell the hawthorn - now I suspect it's one of the culprits for my annual bout of spring hay fever.

Have been busy lately so have a lot of catching up to do....
