I'd been keeping a close eye on the Buddleia bush all summer in the hope that
it would live up to its name and attract butterflies to our garden.
But it was only today that I saw several butterflies flocking to the few
remaining blooms on the higher branches. As the bush has got somewhat
overgrown this made it quite hard to get a good angle to shoot them
and I had to scramble up on the rockery to get a view of them.

Ours was late flowering this year but has made up for it this last month in terms of blooms and visitors.

You got a fine shot of them with their long tongues uncurled. A lovely early autumn sight.

Extremely good detail and crispness for a hand held shot. Nice colour mixture as well.

They always grow larger than we would like! But a wonderful plant which attracts delightful visitors. A beautiful capture of your visitors. V
