Good while it lasted

Good while it lasted

My tulips have come to an end. One last photograph and then the
withered blooms and stems ended up on the compost heap.
I've discovered that flowers+macro lens and a little bit of light
coming in the sitting room window means I have a back-up shot
for busy days - at least those that I get home at lunch time.
Although I was off today, I thought it wisest to grab a shot
before heading out for a day's shopping with my beloved.
We went to The Outlet in Banbridge - great for picking up
bargains but a soulless pretense to be a town.
Funny, he came home with a great pair of new boots while
all I got was another pair of pajamas - the balance will
have to rectified!

Sweet, what you call a back-up is the bread and butter for some of us :-) enjoy the PJ's

They never seem to last long enough. Nice close-up shot!

They're interesting to the very end of their lives. Nice shot of those fascinating structures.

Tuplips make a great photographic study. I'm glad yours were put to good use!

Sorry to see the tulips go. They had a long life and they told a few good tales along the way!

I agree. The shallow depth of field works very well here. You will have to do some serious shopping to balance out those boots! ~V~

Nature abhors imbalance :o)
Very nice management of the depth of field. If that's the right way to say that...
