September has been a beautiful month here in Ireland. Mother Nature has smiled upon us, as if trying to
compensate for a disappointing summer. We've had warm sunny days with little rainfall, perfect for easing
us into the winter that lies ahead.
According to the Met Office, it's been the driest September since 2002 and a warm one too.
But the signs of autumn are everywhere. The leaves are starting to take on a palette of rich
hues, gold, copper, bronze, amber, rust, red.
Itching to use my new camera, I stopped at Ballymascanlon village on my way home at lunchtime
and took a few pictures of the Virginia Creeper. I'm still just using it on 'Program' mode as I need
to sit down and read the manual.
Thankfully, Pbase is slowly returning to normal but it will take me a few days to catch up on uploading
my images. Smugmug just isn't the same.
