The Queen's Bar, Dalkey

One of the oldest pubs in Ireland, dating back
to the middle of the 18th century.
On warm days people enjoy sitting outside,
but clearly this was not one of those days, and
the tables looked rather lonely.

Super display of window boxes. I bet the Queen's serves a good pint!

I can imagine those tables fill quickly when the sun shines! What a lovely old pub...as you can guess, I'm very taken with those baskets of flowering plants!

Very cheery indeed. This is our weather the past few days, too.

The red flowers against the yellow walls seems very inviting to me. I'd be more than happy to sit out in the cold. ;-)

Would love to be there on a nice warm summer's day, with a cool glass of Guinness. Lovely shot of the old pub. V

I see they already have their Christmas lights up :-O

Yes, bad weather means off season for this charming pub. Excellent composition.

You could probably read it in one of two ways; yes, the current absence of people gives a bit of a lonely feel, but equally the fact that the tables are draped with colourful cloths could be an anticipation of people to come. (Although with that cloud cover and the puddles that I spy near the entrance way, that may be a somewhat *optimistic* anticipation on this particular day...)
