I was thinking the hinge to a hair clasp, but perhaps its sunnys or specs instead?

I think it's a mirror on a hinge...not sure exactly what it is though.

I have had to repair eyeglass hinges many times. I can now easily spot them with my eyeglasses off.

I think there's a hint there - is it a mirror there? As well as a hinge?Car mirror or compact maybe?
