Blue

Australian Shepherd
Blue was our first Aussie.
He was totally red, light and dark.
A long time now that he's been gone. We got him from the pound
and back then no one knew what kind of dog he was.
Took us a while to find out. We didn't have him too long,
lost him to a rare blood disease in combination
with a bout of Parvovirus, but he was quite a
character and had me trained pretty well. If there was
something he didn't like that I did, he'd sneak up and give me
a nip under my arm...and it wasn't hard at all, but where he
always got me, he knew it hurt...like the time on New Years when
I blew a noisemaker at him, or when I'd flip my measuring tape in
and out at him. He was a very protective, loyal and mostly gentle friend.

Touching story, very beautiful portrait of Blue, he must be a wonderful dog, we adopted Brown that we lost him in 2003 when he was 12-year old, his footprints on my mind always though it's over eight years. Voted
