Packer resting along the trail with most likely his " Woolrich " wool shirt on as packers had to pack a " Ton " of gear over the 33 mile long Chilkoot Trail. Go figure each pack weighed around 40 to 60 lb.s,, lots of trips with a killer hill to cross over. ( Killer is correct as in April 1898, 60 people lost their lifes on one big snow slide....)
