Our " Scammy State " of Washington requires us to replace out plates every few years for more taxes, but a good use for those old plates is a base for your stoves in winter ( So they heat and don't lean over ) One plate is perfect for two MSR type stoves and two pots,, a larger for melting snow and a small for heating tea, coffee or cooking. Two vintage Sigg pots are ideal. Aluminuim actually heats up fast than titanuim and still a good choice for winter trips. Having two stoves is a plus ,if one stove gets out and you don't have a backup,, you are in for a long cold trip in winter!! ( Firefly stove is prefered for a large pot with it's wide stance and use your Model G for your small pot,,,,
