Latitude Stone
This stone was originally set
1881 by two members of
the first faculty
T. C. Mendenhall
professor of physics, and
R. W. McFarland
professor of mathematics and
astronomy, approximately 79 ft.
west and several feet south
of this location.
Relocated 1932 by the
latest methods of precision by
E. F. Coddington
professor of geodetic engineering.
