DNA update: Now identified as Heterogenea shurtleffi - Red-eyed Button Slug - Hodges#4657
The following was posted early on and is now irrelevant.
Tortricidia specimens that most closely match T. testacea by DNA bar coding but do not look at all like it.
The seven barcoded specimens group together on the relationship tree separate from other T. testacea
Tentative identification at MPG is 4663 Lithacodes fiskeanus. However, these do not match the one Lithacodes fiskeanus in the BOLD database.
When more reference L. fiskeanus specimens are sequenced, this issue might get settled.
I have not located my image of LPOKA309-08. Several more specimens are in the queue for DNA barcoding.
