Fertile

Rosenberg, Texas

BEST VIEWED IN ORIGINAL SIZE
Just up the road from home. Unlike the hilly area where the bluebonnets grow, my part of Texas is
on the Coastal Prairie. This was prime grazing land with a temperate Winter, and the cowboys from
North and West Texas would move the cattle to this land every winter.
The days of the cattle-drive are long over. Now-a-days, we grow cotton and rice.

So pretty. I grew up in Birds Eye country and then moved to shade tobacco country. Love agricultural scenes.

Have always admired those nice, straight plowing furrows;
found it was not easy for a novice.. a challenge for sure!
