APRIL 27

Brazos Bend State Park, Texas

Green Beard.
I had a day off from work, so I decided to go for a hike in Brazos Bend, our local State Park.
I wasn't the only one who was enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. This 6 foot alligator was
relaxing when I stopped. He opened one eye, looked at me, and went right back to sleep.
From the looks of things, I'd say he had a few delicious ducks for breakfast.

These fellas sure walk slowly on land although their jumping abilites are stunning especially when it comes to catching their prey.

These gators always strike me as prehistoric looking. Super capture of him wallowing in the swampy water. V.
