DECEMBER 3

Sugar Land TX

Bird update. The Dove is still with me. He is walking now, but still lame. Flies around the house for exercise.
I think he will be ready for release soon. But I'm keeping him here for other reasons too.
The hawk migration has brought a bird of prey to every wire and fence post. He will need to be much quicker and stronger to avoid ending up as a hawk's lunch.

I look forward to hearing the story of the dove! Looks like a Eurasian Collared-dove--I'm seeing quite a few in my neighborhood this week. Hope it's much better now!

Great news. I'd missed this story entirely. You are doing a great job nursing him back to health. What does
Simon make of his new housemate?

How wonderful!!!! How are you caging this beautiful bird? You are very wise not to release a lame bird because he/she will be picked off immediately. Maybe you have a pet for life! :) V
