It has been one of these days... a "I just cannae be bothered with anything" day that everyone must have every now and again. Today Liam inducted me into the excruciatingly funny dysfunctional world of Malcolm in the Middle, and we sat and watched several episodes back to back. I'm afraid he's got me hooked! I think I saw a bit of ourselves in it! After that, I listened to Liam practice his guitar. I was treated to several riffs of faintly familiar tunes, then he plugged his amp in and blasted out Farewell to Cheyenne - complete with the whistling and foot-taps. I was suitably impressed. Later in the garden, we took some photos that we manipulated in Photoshop... but they were too gruesome for publication here. It is for that reason that I leave you with this rather boring shot of some of my published articles (and my book - which is available via Amazon). Other people publicise their products, so why shouldn't I (oh, and BTW, I am a professional translator [Portuguese/Spanish/French to English], copy-editor, typesetter and compositor, indexer and proofreader. Competitive rates!) ;-)

You have really captured the flow. I love the lines and angles.

I'm in awe! When we will see you're photos with the same spine?

I work with books every day & my admiration for those able to put into words something others become lost in & carried to remains high. Great photo Stewart.

I can nearly feel the smell of printed paper... so close!
Thanks for refreshing my memories :-)

you know what - to have your name on the spine of a book is so cool I can't imagine anything nicer - you publicise it vigorously!!! Cool - can I claim to know a published author by leaving messages on your pbase - how thrilling is that?

What's boring about being published?? it's generally the reading part (at least in the stuff I've been required to write..) that's boring. Indexing and proofreading can be boring...off to Amazon now to look up your book.

I'm impressed.

I'm impressed ... I can barely translate my own thoughts let alone someone else’s words. And props to Liam ... guitar is cool!!!

Impressive

Talk about "suitably impressed"! Great pic.. and even better as your name appears on it. That's two published authors doing PAD's in one week..
I wrote a grocery list today? lol

Very cool! Its interesting to hear what other people do (besides take photo's) ... which only proves that there is life outside of pbase and the snippits of our lives that we all share thru our photo's. Congrats on the book How cool! !

Stewart, this shot is for sure not boring!
First of all to read you name on side of the book is very impressive and as a shot it's very nice! Nice composition and good DOF!
so cheers and have a great weekend!
