Call it a skin fetish or whatever but there is something unique about peeling your own skin a couple of days after a sunburn.
I guess I like that it is not something that happens all the time maybe once a year or every few years. So in a way it's something special.
There is a method to it. If feels best when the skin is just starting to exfoliate and it still rather moist so you have to pull a bit to get to to peel. It lifts the other skin up around it and you feel a little tug that is unique. But on the other hand I do like the sound of a dry peel and that crackle noise it makes as you peel it away.
Ok I am not a freak. Maybe CSI will do an episode on this like they did with those freak "furries". Haha.
If you are not totally grossed out yet. I have an alternative. http://www.pbase.com/lundy/image/46576356
So please everyone, wear sunblock and re-apply after heavy sweating and prolonged swimming. Don't go sunblock free for 7 hours in an open canoe with your legs fixed in one spot straight out in front of you.
Thanks for coming by and as always, questions, comments and complaints are welcome.
