I have just seen this over 5-years since you posted the comment! The place you refer to is probably the 'Island Hotel and Country Club'located on the right as you entered Leysdown. The building is still there and has been an old peoples home for many years. I was there in 1970 for my honeymoon! TV sitcom star at the time, Tommy Godfrey, was staying in the room next door for a few days learning his lines. It was a great place with some brilliant entertainment.

hi there, please put my mind at rest and tell me the name of the old cabaret club just as u come into leysdown about 30 years ago? Only I went their to see JOE LONGTHORNE. Had the time of my life that night lol! Was it called stages or stage 3? Please let me know and put me out of my misery.
