Yes I remember it well, and the Fat! man in the picture that used sell? was it peanuts or toffee apples? cant remember now. My French Dad had first, a chalet in the Priory Camp not far from the old Army Barracks, where we used to collect used ammunition shells from the ploughed fields and at shell-ness beach in the 50,s and 60`s, and later Dad bought a bungalow on Warden Bay, just before you used to go-up the cliff path through the woods towards Warden and East Church. My Sister Antionette and I used used to walk from Leysdown to Sheerness to meet Mum and Dad, who came down from Forest Gate - London. Oh what great memories and fun all that was. my great uncle charles arnold used to own this pub from 1930's to 1950's and my father worked there when he was evacuated from highgate in london. It was very memorable for him and he remembers the morphys and the ridley families.I hope I have spelt this correctly.

Im sure this is the pub I remember as a child in the late 60s. they would have people get up & sing songs. my family used to go down there for weekends in teh 60s had alot of fun. as a child playing Bingo. I think there had the Toilets out front. where you payed 1 penny. I recall I left my beatle bag in there full up of loose chang to play in the fair. what great memories. Thank you sandra
