This is a good view of the two routes down off of the Mt HIlton arete. I took the one to the right, and you can see another one further down on the left. You would still have to climb up quite a bit in elevation to cross over a large canyon if you take the left chute. The route I took is higher, but is very steep and has unstable talus slopes, but the left one does look easier in this photo.
