Along this ancient trail from Harrington lake to the Dillon Divide, I was greeted with clouds. The trail is gone, the forest burned, and if not for a rare ancient blazed tree, it is unfollowable. I hiked this stretch in 1991, and was amazed at how fast a trail disappears after a fire. I relied on experience and compass for this stretch. I'm not on the trail, going xc, and later found it above me.
