This is the original cookhouse for the early 1900s climbers, built in 1921 from local stone. Currently it is being used as a shelter for the NPS ranger and the rescue ranger. It is very deluxe! Also, if you stand where the ranger is now, you get perfect Verizon reception, for those that are cell phone codependent.
