Squaw pass in a hurricane

High Uintas Wilderness

I woke up to high winds and rain on day 2. Not wanting to spend the day here, Kelly and I put on our rain gear and fought the 70+mile an hour hurricane winds up to Squaw Pass. The rain eased, but not the wind. I crawled across the pass to keep from being blown down, but did capture a few photos.

yes, when you can't stand and are constantly being knocked down, and you have been crawling up a half mile of trail for over an hour to gain a saddle notch pass, the winds are probably going at least 70mph. One of the highest wind days I've ever hiked thru.
