My first stove. I drilled it out in about 1984 to lighten it up. This is the first hike it's gone on since 1991 when it clogged up and was retired. I have since gotten it running just fine again, and it's an old trail friend.
I will never ever get rid of my Svea either. Before I die I will put it into the hands of one of my sons. I have taken it on adventures as a scout, I have taken it to war, I have taken it to natural disasters, and it goes with me and my family. That stove has been a buddy in some tough, joyfull, and always memorable times. I can always count on it. Besides I love the noise it makes!
