Only in the USA,, do people build on flood plains!! Airport need flat areas,, but in the late 70's and early 80's , Sumner, and many fields on the shadow of Mt. Rainier where crops were planted yearly and seasonal flooding " Added To The Land " ,,were paved over as big storage areas,, and track housing.. Many other countries look at things long term. Here , the good old USA,, we can't see past next week's buck. To timber in the hills to hold back water.. If you fill in where water " Use To Run " it just picks another.. Great photos of the floods,,, vote
