With 115 units, 65 completely restored and 50 in process it’s the biggest and most important private owned vintage automobile museum in Peru and South America. Jorge Nicolini, the owner, is a known collector and restorer since 1962, when he first bought and restored a 1925 Lincoln mistreated by time & misused by his former owner as a heavy passenger transport. His collection include unique, invaluable classics, cultural & historical automobiles.
I had the distinct pleasure of seeing the collection in perso Dec 20, 2006. The curator was most kind to my wife, daughter and me in showing us the entire collection and restoration shop. Although I speak no Spanish, my daughter translated, so that the curator and I were able to understand each other. The love of the automobile has no language barrier, and the collection is a fine as any in the world. I left some Antique Automobile Club of America information for Senor Nicolini, and I hope he will contact me dirctly in this regard. Thanks to his staff for a great tour of the facility.
