Camera Death in 2006

On October 3, 2006 I left for Utah, taking a new route so I could meet two Pbasers in Oregon. In Portland I visited Dan Dunn and got a ride on his sailboat Pandamonium (thanks, Dan!). The next day I met PBaser Vern Rogers in Springfield for lunch. The day after that I reached the Oregon-California border, where my D100 suffered a severe brain drain (details in the last three photos).

Then I returned home, bought a D80 to replace the dead D100 (it was painful to spend the money), and left on October 9 for Utah again, this time via my normal I-90 route, allowing me to take a traditional trip picture at Snoqualmie Pass.
