Achieving harmony with the landscape

Arches National Park (Moab, Utah) view map

Reaching this vantage point opposite the tops of the Three Gossips was satisfying, but not completely fulfilling. To remedy this shortcoming I sought Oneness with the sandstone.

My prone position, parallel to the axis of the Gossips, yielded the fulfillment I craved. However, in spite of the most forceful meditation I could muster, this state of harmony did not rid me of my fear of (physical) heights, which is why I got no closer to the afterlife-enabling precipice that is about 15 feet behind me.

The seed for this exploration was planted by my seeing a photo taken from about the same position by a former PBase member.

Joe Tripod, who supported my camera, observed that the number of gossips equalled the number of his legs.

Way too cool.
I just achieve oneness with my bed and snore.

LOL I too have a fear of heights so Im quite proud of you! You certainly did some rock climbing and it makes for a nice view of the 3 gossips. Thanks for the comments on my page.

After I had become One With The Sandstone, the Three Gossips talked to me. What they said cannot be repeated here lest my PBase subscription be revoked with prejudice.

Now they've got something new to gossip about. I can almost hear the one on the left asking. .."Do you have any idea what the guy in the blue shirt is doing?"
