When I explore I sometimes collect rock specimens as mementos. Keeping track of which rock
came from which place was a chore until I got the idea of bringing Zip-Loc bags on trips:
put the rock in a bag, write the location on the bag, and it's done! Later it dawned on me
that my camera---with its ultra-cheap "film"---could perform the same chore with less
work. This is the result, taken on the hood of my car. No need for a bag any more.
The note card was thrown away. This little rock now sits on my desk at home.
