Scientific expedition turns up disturbing communication

My road trips are scientific forays into the unknown. Under the guise of exploring the landscape, I look for indications of a Horror from Outer Space and investigate strange phenomena.

On a recent trip to [DELETED] I discovered this sign of an Alien presence in the atmosphere; it was just one of several such indications I encountered. Security concerns prevent me from revealing the nature of this statement in the sky, but I can offer this advice: re-stocking your fallout shelter would be a good idea.

The public is being calmed with a sanitized version of this image.

Dave, Virginia Ham is world-famous and a product of great integrity--unlike the hams in Congress.

Steve, low-tech is a valuable philosophy---if it works. Virginia-grade Vick's VapoRub is known to be inadequate for such a task. Impurities that originate in the halls of Congress render the stuff inert. Breathe deep...the gathering gloom...

Dave, will Vick's Vaporizer do the job? Sorry, but we're a little low-tech in this "backwater" called Alexandria.

this is actually a really neat shot Dave

Note to Dan, Steve, and John: please refrain form making silly comments about something so serious. We cannot win The Battle if people are cracking jokes instead of preparing to vaporize evil other-worldly beings.

The 'x' is marking the spot for something obviously sinister as this same pattern has shown up in other parts of the country, even in Kentucky ...http://www.pbase.com/tombriggs/image/60671328

Dave, are you sure it's not some pilot playing tic tac toe?

Gee, I thought you got someone to skywrite your signature.

Thanks for being on the front lines as our eyes and ears, Dave. You are a very brave man.
Hope we don't lose you when Halebop comes around again.
