This scramble up Tetzlaff Peak was marked by beautiful weather, a new zipper in my favorite hiking pants, and a mistake on my part. The mistake was that I took the wrong compass! For wanderings in the physical world I bring a magnetic compass and topographic map to help me find my way. For this trip, however, I confused physical exploration with psychic exploration and brought my meditation compass, a tool that helps me find my way in the mind only. Here I have just discovered my error and am wondering what to do. The next photo shows what I did.
Joe Tripod, my personal assistant in the field, just stood there while I suffered.
