A rare look at Joe Tripod

Bonneville Speedway (Wendover, Utah)

When I reached the Bonneville Speedway and discovered that it was flooded, Joe Tripod felt so
sorry for me that he allowed me to photograph him. He is not often so accommodating, as he
values his privacy and usually stays out of the picture. In the background is Tetzlaff Peak.

Those foam pads used for gardening are knee-savers on hard surfaces.

He was within a "hop, skip, and a jump" of winning though

Joe did try out as an extra in "War of the Worlds:"

Three-legged races are beneath his dignity.

Nice scene. Good of Joe to oblige you. You ever enter him in any three legged races?

He seemed taller in person...

He is a bit thin, keep an eye on his snack intake. Good to see he is saving his knees with the use of the foam pad.
Nice scene!
