Here the upper bench, somewhat purplish, tapers down to the lower bench, which is
just above the level of the river. After a short lunch break (next photo) I will
continue forward and turn right around the corner up ahead, which leads into a
dead-end amphitheater. At far left, by the tamarisk greenery, is a game trail.
