This is the Moab Information Center, the best such facility I have seen in my life,
which isn't saying much because I avoid most tourist information facilities. This
place is cool, and not only because of its air-conditioning. It is the visitor's
one-stop source for all kinds of information about Moab and the surrounding area:
lodging, restaurants, weather forecasts, places to go, things to do, etc. It sells
guide books, picture books, books on natural history, maps, postcards, etc. (But
bookstores in town have a greater selection of reading materials.) There are public
rest rooms too. A trip to Moab is not complete without a visit to this place! I salute
the powers that be in Moab for creating this user-friendly information source.
