Most infrastructure elements are permanently installed; PBase is in this
business for the long haul. However, there are times when stationary devices
fail. When that happens, back-up equipment is put in place to take over while
the failed device is repaired. Here we see such equipment in action near Moab,
Utah. The tripods hold GPS and other equipment that help get PBase's signals
to subscribers even though a critical component "met its Maker."
The apparent absence of security personnel here is a trick: when
this picture was taken, the place was crawling with low-profile
PBase personnal armed with the latest "persuaders."
