Wireless support for a municipal fire department

Pictured here is a PBase remote relay device installed on a fire hydrant in a small western city.
The device is part of a sophisticated Wi-Fi system established for the benefit of the local fire
department. The local Chief of Fires is a forward-thinking person; it was he who authorized the
installation of hundreds of these relays to enable his employees to surf and upload during the
inevitable lull during a response to a fire. Once a roaring blaze has been brought under control,
fire fighters can easily unwind and avoid boredom by switching from "life-saving" mode to
"life-enhancing" mode. Happy firefighters are better firefighters. All fire trucks and wagons
have laptops 24/7. Devices like the one pictured here have improved morale markedly. PBase is
ready to install such devices anywhere for any group---as long as the appropriate financial
compensation is received. Already it has improve the morale of numerous fire departments,
police departments, snow removal crews, sanitation workers, utility crews, and the like.

And the remote relay and fire hydrant are practically color coordinated! Pbase thinks of everything.

Gee, I thought it had something to do with snow removal.

I always thought these were to help dogs find a restroom from the highway.
