Seasonal outpost

This low-key installation, situated in a lovely valley in Utah, uses land and structures that used
to constitute a ranch. It is staffed only seasonally: in this remote area, there is not a large enough
customer base to justify full-time support. The staffer here (Leitchy Donovan) spends most of her
spare time hanging around with a witches' coven in the next valley. When locals drive by and notice
that the place is occupied, they say "Must be the season of the witch."

Steve, I am the type who cannot grasp the concept of hidden meanings: everything must be spelled out clearly, without using verbal tricks. Puns put me into a black hole of confusion. Trust me.

Just a play on words, Dave. You said, "Mushrooms or lettuce leaves?" and I asked where they were going. It's a little like the "who's on first?" routine.

I confess to being unable to decipher the missives originating in the Washington DC area. Confusion reigns. Is this a test of my cognitive abiility (or lack thereof)?

The mushrooms or lettuce--you said one of them was leaving.

Who? What?
Guest 14-Aug-2006 21:35
Where did they go?

Mushrooms or lettuce leaves?

Most excellent, Dave! I must send my chef over to pick a few.

Steve, PBase is a trend-setter. The idea of a multi-function roof started at one of PBase's lesser-known installations (sorry: no photo). Even more inventive is the salad garden in the middle of the driveway: the lettuce leaves are already oiled when picked.

I am most impressed by the resourcefulness of this installation's staff. The roofing material in the front must be an excellent place to grow mushrooms.

Really nice pic with the impressive scenery in the background...
