Low profile installation necessitated by local resistance

Low profile installation necessitated by local resistance

By necessity, a few offices are built with a low profile. This is not inconsistent
with outstanding customer service. On the contrary, security requirements or clashes
with the local population make it wise to not flaunt one's presence. Just as
long-haired hippies encountered antagonism out west in the 1960s, modern day
technofreaks sometimes experience antagonism from rural people who are afraid
of progress. PBase's advanced technology makes some people uneasy. Local law
enforcement personnel are spread so thin that they cannot be counted on to
protect PBase employees in "hostile zones." As a result, PBase must rely on
other measures to ensure its continued service to mankind. This facility in
Utah is an example: it is heavily fortified and sits on a modest hill,
reminiscent of a medieval castle on atop mountain: impregnable.

There is a rumor that this is Pbase's red x repository. It is said to hold a considerable number of red x's.
