Standing on cattle guard with salty sandals
Southwest of Promontory, Utah
view map
Cylindrical crosspieces of a cattle guard. The white tint at the front of my sandals and on their straps is salt (from wading in Great Salt Lake).

Interstingly, salty sandals and cattle grids, even rusty ones, look much the same in your country as they do in ours. How weird!
