Looking upstream at a boulder. Leaning against the boulder is my bamboo hiking stick, which is 6 feet (1.8 m) tall. Thus the boulder is about 10 feet (3 m) tall.

Beyond the boulder (passed on the left) is a stepped pour-off at the base of the cliff. From there the route goes to the right. The next photo was shot from the pour-off.
