The Gibbon wye is at the base of the Blue Mountains in northeastern Oregon, 20 miles (32 km) east of Pendleton. The rails showed signs of fairly recent use, probably for storage of maintenance-of-way equipment. Straight ahead, at the base of the trees, is the Union Pacific main line connecting Portland with Idaho. This wye is one of several wyes I discovered by surfing in Google Earth.
