Made for high-speed cruising

BNSF's Balmer Yard in Seattle view map

"Aerodynamic" only begins to describe this sleek mode of transportation that is familiar to so many travelers. Other notable characteristics are the powerful take-off, smooth (and quiet) cruising, low wind resistance that yields good fuel-to-mile ratio, full complement of creature comforts, latest safety technology, special tires to withstand the brutal pressures of daily operations, more-than-adequate view for the pilot, lovely green exterior, precision engine designed to withstand collisions with airborne creatures. And so on...

By the way, the other vehicle is the fuselage of a Boeing Next Generation 737, destined for delivery to the Boeing assembly facility in Renton, Washington. It is mounted on a dedicated flatcar. Its length exceeds that of the flatcar, so another (empty) flatcar is behind this one. Photographed at BNSF's Balmer Yard in the Interbay area of Seattle.

This scene represents the closest The Green Weenie has come to flying.
