There just isn't much privacy anymore, which I discovered by accident while visiting John Cross
in Oregon. John and I drove to the Astoria Column, a viewing tower in Astoria, for the purpose
of taking pictures of scenery, both inanimate and human. We split up to fulfill our individual
photographic destinies. While minding my own business I looked up and saw that I was being spied
upon. It grated on my nerves so I photographed the interloper just in case I had to file a
complaint with the local authorities. My action was enough to scare him off. I think the guy
was from Texas, where everything---including the tendency to spy on others---is bigger.
By the way, John ( http://www.pbase.com/johncrossphotography/root&view=recent ) just happens to be from Texas. :-)
