None of the above. This is my rodent-repelling system for car-camping, hanging like this to dry out (night dew) before being packed away in the car. The reason for having it is explained at a photo about a horror.
Talk about horror. Upon clicking through to find out the reason for having this fiesta-in-a-van, I

A festive approach..If it works, use it.
While on a camping trip up along the Northern California coast I had a mama mouse give birth in the glove compartment of my truck. She had shredded the documents I keep in the glove box (registration and insurance forms) to make a nice nest. The babies were easy to relocate but the mama mouse was a tough catch, it took 3 days to catch her (used a few Cheez It crackers and a trap). I was worried about wiring damage but have yet to find a problem.
