This is third time I have awakened to find cattle grazing at my campsite. (The first
two were in the mountains of France and Switzerland. In France I almost got trampled by
mating cattle who didn't notice me and had other things on their mind.) These cattle
were quiet and soon wandered off to sample other food delights up the road.
Photographed in the overflow camping area for Natural Bridges National Monument.
The entrance for this "primitve camping" facility is on the east side of SR 261,
just south of the junction with SR 95. There was no charge for staying here.
The only campers here were those in the recreational vehicle and I.
