1D Mark IV gets close to feeding Munias

I used a concrete fence as cover to get close to these Munias feeding among overgrown grasses in our village. With the super-thin DOF of 400 mm at 8 - 12 feet distance,
I needed to have precise placement of focus and clean ISO 400-800. The 1D4's AI servo and fat, juicy pixels delivered on both requirements.
My 100-400, with its pixel-level sharpness at full zoom even wide open and IS for shake control when hand holding, didn't disappoint likewise.

Update - I got even closer to these guys this morning of Nov. 12th (as near as 4 feet), and I used my 100 2.8 macro to be able to focus that close. :)
